Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. Dr Katie completed two years of additional training at Cincinnati Children’s after she completed dental school. Hyde Park Pediatric Dentistry treats the oral health needs of infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.
We understand that choosing a pediatric practice to trust with the health of your child’s smile is an important decision. We understand that making a positive first impression at the dentist can influence children’s view of dentistry for the rest of their lives. We strive to ensure that your child has a positive experience and is comfortable with our doctors and staff.
Special Training: Pediatric dentists receive postdoctoral training in child psychology, behavior modification, and pharmacology. Dr Katie is also a Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and completes at least 30 hours of pediatric dental specific continuing education.
Education for Parent and Child: Dr Katie and her staff will explain preventive care, hygiene, and treatments in simple, easy-to-understand terms for both the parent and the child. We are comfortable speaking to and answering questions so your child feels safe and understood.
A Comfortable Environment: It is very important that your child feels comfortable in our office. The office provides distraction during the dental visit that helps ensure that your child has a positive experience. The office is also decorated in a kid-friendly and fun manner that is not too overwhelming, so your child has a fun experience at Hyde Park Pediatric Dentistry.
